4/3/20 – Shop Updates:

Dear Skein customers,

First of all, we’d like to thank all of you who has shown us so much love and support the last couple weeks since we had to close our doors to the public due to COVID-19. It was definitely a challenge to revise a decades-long business model to a completely foreign one overnight – new equipment needed to be bought, new technologies had to be learned, and new policies had to be put in place to protect both our customers and ourselves. But! With your help and feedback while participating in our Virtual Shopping Experience (or experiment!), we are able to work out some kinks and make this process as seamless and enjoyable as possible for you. Ultimately, our goal is to provide the same level of service online as you would get if you were physically visiting our shop.

That being said, we have decided to take a short break for the next couple weeks to focus on some shop improvements. So, if you need any yarn, tools, or a new project, today & tomorrow will be the last two days you can schedule an appointment with us to shop. We apologize for the short notice, but we will be available again on Tues, 4/21, virtually.

Meanwhile, we will still be checking our email daily. Please don’t hesitate to write us if you have any questions or concerns. We will do our best to assist you. Thank you so much for your understanding and please stay safe!

P.S. Be sure to connect with us on your favorite social media platform! We’ll definitely continue to post about all things yarn, knitting/crocheting inspo, fun projects, and the latest shop news!

3/27/20 – Shop Updates:

Dear Skein customers,

Many of you have emailed us since the shop has closed and we’ve been able to accommodate to most of your needs. So we’d like to open this up to all of you in the form of a live virtual shopping experience via Facetime, Skype or Zoom by appointment.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Email us at skeinyarns@aol.com with your inquiries, such as: specific yarns you need, or assistance in picking yarn out for a project (photos of patterns are always helpful). Please be as detail as you can so we can gather up a range of options for you to choose from at our “virtual” meeting.
  2. Let us know the best time for you to shop within the hours of 11am – 5pm
  3. Pick your preferred method of meeting: Facetime, Skype, or Zoom.
  4. Once we meet and you decide to make a purchase, payment will be made by credit card only. We must be able to verify that the card belongs to you with a proper I.D.
  5. Purchased items will then be available for pickup, delivered (within 5 miles only), or shipped (with an additional fee.)
  6. Please keep in mind that ALL SALES ARE FINAL during this pandemic for the health and safety of all involved.

It’s terrifying to be a small business at these unprecedented times, so please bear with us during this experiment of ours. With your participation and continued support, we hope to work out some kinks and make this as seamless as possible. While our collective future seems so uncertain and stressful at the moment, we hope to bring some joy into our wonderful community as best as we can. Thank you so much in advance!

3/19/20 – Shop Updates:

Please stay connected with us via our social platforms like Facebook and/or Instagram, or sign up for our newsletter here on our website. We will also continue to post updates here, so check back often.
